Friday May 3rd, 2019 was one of those perfect days at Squaw Valley, CA.
Sunshine, no wind, good friends, a hard freeze the night before, and soft snow.
The day started with Scott Gaffney building a nice lip off the top of Mainline Pocket.
Scott and Aaron Fox got in a flip or two before Connery and myself hiked up to inspect.
We filmed the boys hitting the jump another time or two before stepping in ourselves.
The jump was sweet and sendy and the landing soft.
I only hit it once, but these guys did a bunch.
Scott’s backflip shifty was something I’d never seen before.
At 1pm, patrol kicked us off Mainline Pocket during their sweep and we had 1 hour before the upper mountain closed to hit the park.
The park was on fire and we cranked laps off fun jumps until the chair shutdown at 2pm.
It’s 100% game on here at Squaw Valley right now.
