With the latest round of snow tapering for a few days, now is a good time to take stock of the snowfall totals for resorts across North America. The latest system was especially kind to California and Utah, with resorts in the Sierra Nevada and Wasatch getting multiple feet of fresh snow over a few days.
Both Alta and Snowbird in Utah had to delay their opening days on Friday while crews ensured the mountain was safe for eager powderhounds. And in California, a couple of resorts closed due to too much snow.

With the potential for even more FEET of snow to be added to these totals over the next 7-days, winter has definitely arrived with a bang…
Here are the resorts with the most snowfall so far this season…
#1 Alta, UT – 117″
#2 Snowbird, UT – 116″

#3 Kirkwood, CA – 104″
#4 Jackson Hole, WY – 91″
#5 Solitude, UT – 90″
#7 Powder Mountain, UT; Bear Valley, CA – 89″
