It was reported last week that despite the excellent conditions and great coverage, Park City Resort in Utah will not be extending their season.
The resort has been known in the past to open later, but locals insist that that hasn’t happened since Vail Resorts took over. And they’re not happy about it.
They see it as purely a financial decision by Vail Resorts. It’s not just about the extra skiing days, but extra trading days would really help local business owners and their employees.
“If we were open another two weeks, my staff would get another paycheck. It just generates more excitement and keeps the momentum flowing,” explained one business owner.
