The NOAA is predicting snow in the northwest, particularly in the mountains of Wyoming and Montana early this week. Although it’s still early September, snowfall this early is not unusual as temperatures start to drop across the country.

It’ll probably be just a dusting, but there is a small chance of up to 6″ inches falling in Montana, and as the week progresses potentially move further south to Colorado.

It’s always an exciting time of year when the first flakes start to fall, and our thoughts shift towards the upcoming winter. It might only be a dusting, but the temperatures are dropping, mountains will start to look white again, and we can start to dream of powder days.
